Read MoreLooking For Good
I absolutely loved this place of Okinawa Japan. What an absolutely amazing location. One of the most amazing things about this place is the coast line. I seriously could sit along here and watch the sunrise every morning. I loved hearing the waves crash and feeling the nature around me. It makes me think that there is good in this world if we only look for it.
American Village - August 18
Tonight we went down to what is called the "American Village". It is basically a shopping district full of retraunts, food and shops. They have this awesome ferris wheel that looks pretty awesome. This picture actaully just fell together as I tried to get McKay to stand for a phot all the other kids kind of joined in. We had an awesome time with our new Okinawian friends and sponsor. They have been our life saver since being out here. They literally take us everywhere!
Pajama Baby - August 20
Hayden has been having a hard time getting adjusted to the time difference. Because of that he has been waking up super early. Linz isn't a morning person so I get to take him with me when it is that early. Well what does any good photography obsessed dad do with a baby at 530 AM? Obviously take him out to the Japanese gardens right outside the hotel for a pajama photoshoot? Obviously! We had a good time. Mom probably didn't appreciate the dirty pajamas but at least I got a cute picture of him!
Super Slide - September 14
The parks in Okinawa are simply amazing! We took the kids to this one that we have been scouting out for a while. After 30 minutes of driving in circles we finally found it. It was an awesome park with an sick slides. This one the kids went up and down probably 6 or 7 times in a row. It is a super long slide with these rollers on it. I swear the just laughed the entire time. We are gonna have to go back for round 2.
Panoramic from Castle Ruins
The castle ruins were amazing! The kids got to run around and pretend like this a castle with princesses. The view was astounding! I am planning on going back at sunset and getting a some pictures if I can. The day we visited it was raining most of the day which added a lot of character to the ruins.
Last Sunset in VB - July 19
Have I ever told you how much I love the VB farms? Man they are pretty awesome! This was one of our favorite ones that we go to. I was looking for a great shot to take when I saw this awesome gravel road that led to the farm. The sun we just about perfect at this exact moment and so I set up the shot and took it!
Night before the Storm - August 24
So the typhoon is coming! Typhoon Goni. But this was the night before the storm actually came. I wanted to capture this helicopter landing pad right next to our hotel room. I guess that is how you know you are on an military instillation if you have to have a helo-pad right next to the hotel.
Norfolk Harbor - August 3
Well I am spending my last nights in Virginia! I knew that I wanted to visit the harbor one last time. It is beautiful and I kept having this thought "I'm gonna miss this city." the sunset wasn't spectacular but blue hour is always good. We have had so many good experiences in these cities. We have grown and be pushed to be better people. I know that the Lord has helped us in our journey. But my family and I will be missing this city!
Yorktown Cannon - August 5
For my last night in Virginia I decided to go up to Yorktown and visit some of the battle fields. They have some pretty awesome cannons all around and I took this picture close to the visitor center while I was waiting for the sun to get just a litte lower in the sky. I was amazed as I went around to realize once again the sacrifice the soldiers made in order for me to live in this nation. To have the independence and the freedom that I do.
White Grass at Monticello Lake - July 27
Ever since I've moved away from my home town and every time I come back I realize again and again how beautiful it really was. I love the mountains here! This happens to b one of the small lakes in the mountains near my home. I took a drive up in the morning and found a very nice sunrise all to myself. I guess fi you count the few deer around me I wasn't alone. This is one of my favorite photos form the trip that I captured.
Lake Powell - July 24
We love Lake Powell. It is an amazing lake in Utah that has some awesome red rock. I grew up going to the lake all the time and ever since I met my wife she has grown to love it as much as me. We all try and wakeboard. Linz is pretty awesome! We took all the kids and had a blast! It was one of the places on this earth were we Linz and I are happiest!
